Just wanted to share with all of you some of the beautiful dishes we’ll be featuring on some tablescapes.  I just came back from market in Dallas  and am so excited about the dishes we’ll be featuring, so I am going to take you with me as we purchase these items we’ll carry in the Fall and Christmas season.

I had been looking for several days for a vendor who’s dishes weren’t like all the others, but at a price that I thought most of my customers would be comfortable with.  I wanted them to be versatile, in that meaning, they could be used for different purposes other than sitting in the cabinet waiting to be chosen to be used for a limited number of occasions.  Then I came across these and I thought, “What a wonderful line to be used not only for serving and tableware, but how beautiful these would be on easels on counter tops, above cabinets and on highly visible shelves.”  The color in these dishes was like no other.  I fell in love with them.

Everyone loves a Sunflower.  There is just something so happy about sunflowers.  They’re great in the spring, summer, and fall.

Then, I came upon these delightful garden vegetable plates.  The colors and the style on these plates were so usable for so many months out of the year.  These and the sunflowers would look great above the cabinets and on shelves.

Now these cups, bowls and plates are the ones I really fell hard for.  I don’t know if it is the black background or the beautiful fruit that I just had to have or what.  The black was so dramatic that I knew that if I had them I would feel so “rich”:)

Next came the roosters.  The reason I love these so much was because (I love roosters), and some of the pictures had a little blue in them.  My kitchen is navy and it is hard to find a lot of roosters that have a lot of navy in the colors.  These will be great in my kitchen (if everybody else doesn’t buy them first).

Then, I thought of the holidays, and fell upon this red Christmas bowl that had a snowman spreader with it.  I know it is hard to see the snowman in the picture (I am not a good photographer), but if you saw it in real life, I doubt that you could resist.

And then there was a cardinal.  Who doesn’t love a cardinal in those winter months?  It takes me back to the memories of those beautiful cardinals showing off their magnificent red colors against the beautiful white snow.

How could I forget about those beautiful napkins we’ll be using around the holidays.  These ones with bells on them stole my heart away.

I also purchased some with Christmas trees on them that I know will be loved and remembered for generations to come at your dining room table.

And then, my favorite season of all–Autumn.  There’s so many beautiful months to use the Autumn decor-from September until November.

I love the pumpkins down the center of the table and then the autumn plaid table cloth used for the center. What’s fun, is this vignette can be sitting on your table even when there’s no company coming at all.  Even when you’re there by yourself it’s O.K. to just look at the beauty of the table.  Pour yourself a cup of coffee or hot cider and just sit there and enjoy the memories that your beautiful autumn setting will evoke.  Better yet, call a friend or your granddaughter over and have a special spot of tea.

Also, in this picture, look at how the “burlapy” ribbon added such texture and interest to the tablesetting. How fun!!!  It makes me want to go on a hayride.  (First I need to take my hayfever medicine.  It feels so much like Autumn, I’m starting to sneeze:))

And this one is one we have so much fun doing– that is chair ties.  The ties are relatively inexpensive and so many different looks you can get with them.  This particular look was one that they tied the tie and then put an autumn wreath on the tie.  The possibilities are endless.

I am so excited about creating these tablescapes for the upcoming months.  I can’t wait to see all of your wonderful ideas.  I know it is going to be so much fun.  Isn’t this such a wonderful site to host all of these wonderful parties to help us all become the creative women we were meant to be?
