How to Make a Raffia Wreath
I’m so excited to share with you how to create this raffia wreath!
Do you ever wonder how someone can make something that looks good even greater? Wouldn’t it be great to know how to takes something that looks like everyone else’s and make it into something that really has the “Wow” factor?
That’s the way I felt about the windmills that are new to the shop. Not only are they affordable, but they are big and really make a statement. As the thought process of how to go from being good to being a statement piece, I began to ask myself a lot of questions about what I wanted from this piece of “art.” One of my main reasons for creating this particular item was to bring a very organic look to this product we just received. I knew I wanted a wreath to add interest to this product, but without making it look “cutesy” or “flowery.”
I knew I wanted something natural and to add elements that would be indigenous to this area as well as most of the Midwest. This was just the product I wanted to produce and add elements that spoke to “fly-over” country. I wanted to magnify the strengths of our farming communities and showcase what all the magnificent farms bring to this area and our culture.
The raffia wreath is the perfect thing that does just that!
