Hi My Dear Ladies,
I was working out in the store on Saturday, getting ready for our big event on October 27, 28 and 29th. As I was decorating the fireplace, I thought how much fun it would be if you were all here. So, this is the next best thing. I thought I’d do a little blog post about decorating the hearth and your fireplace mantle.
Let’s start with these new angels we got in. I fell in love with them at market. Just sitting alone on the hearth made these little angels look like they needed a cloud to float on. So here we go. I took one of the beautiful new garlands (these are a great price) and strung it through the dresses of the angels. (Excuse me, boy angels. They just look like dresses to me. I guess the correct term should be their robes.)
Then I placed the lights throughout the garland. You’ve gotta have the lights to get the “heavenly effect” going on. Just lay them on the top as you’re going to be adding a few more other elements so you want them not to be hidden underneath the first garland.
Now you’re going to add a garland with lots of sparkle and bling—Every angel has to have a little bling going on. Ta-Dah!!!! Something heavenly is going on on the fireplace hearth.
Next week I’m going to show you how to do the mantle to make it all come together. The next thing you’ll want to do is start singing “Silent Night, Holy Night”. All will be calm and all will be bright. I just love this time of year!!!!!
Don’t forget–October 27, 28 and 29. I can smell the cider cooking!
