Autumn in the Barn
September 9,10,11,12 and 13
Greetings everyone. I just returned from a wonderful trip with our family and extended family. We finally got to celebrate our 55th wedding Anniversary with those we hold so close to our hearts.

Do you all cry when a trip like that is over? As I was telling each of the families goodbye, tears came to my eyes. Sometimes I just don’t know why I cry other than I know I’ll miss my sweet little ones. They’ll never grow old to me no matter what their age is.
So I have to push myself onward and upward and share what’s been going on here in the shop. I told you last week that I would show you what I had been doing with what looks like a ball of masking tape. I just wanted you to see what I turned it into. I’ve started working with clay a little more and I’m really loving it. So what you’re going to see when the finished product is something I’ve made from scratch. Not one bit of it was made in another country other than maybe some of the pics or little extras that I put on him.

It’s been fun to see the personalities develop as I create these one of a kind Products. I almost hate to call it a product, because it sounds so sterile and empty, and I can assure you each one of them has a personality of his own.
These projects take a long time, and they were a lot more expensive than I wanted them to be when I created them. However, I want this Collection to be something very special for each of you.
If you had attended my snowman building class back in the winter, the building of the snowman was the same principal that we used only the size of Ralph (my new snowman)is much bigger.

The one I’m going to introduce you to today is called Ralph. Ralph has always been a little self-conscious of his turned up nose. He always wondered if it was going to be something that people made fun of or made them adore him. He’s also very lonely, and he can’t wait until I bring on his brothers and sisters, which I will show you in the coming weeks. I have assured him, that it won’t be long until I have his brother and sisters ready.

You all will be the first ones I introduce them to. There even may be some babies come on the scene, also.
And by the way, I shipped out my first scarecrow of the season last week. I forgot to tell you all her name was Ellie Mae. She did arrive at her destination and the woman who adopted her loved her. It always makes me so glad to know that these creations have first of all, arrived safely and were a joy to the people who adopted him or her.
Today I’m going to show you, Ellie Mae’s Brother. This is Samuel or Sammy as Ellie Mae calls him. I just received word that Ellie May’s adoptive mother has a neighbor who saw her and she wants a scarecrow like this. So, This one may ship out across the country very soon.

I have received so many new things lately, that I can’t keep track of it all. So my little stock girl keeps track for me. Sometimes it’s like Christmas when I unpack what she’s priced and unpacked for me. I’m so grateful for someone that I can depend on to work for me.
I can’t wait to see you all at our Autumn event, September 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13. I’m ready to embrace the new season. And yes, I’m already doing it even though the heat index is 114°.
Blessings!
Debbie
