img_0034I wanted to share with you the latest about what we’re adding to the store in September.  A lot of customers have shown and interest in antiques.  So, I’ve picked up a few antique chairs at sales and have added a little decorator touch.  The rocker is a short version of an old rocker.  I made a big checked cushion for the chair.  It updates it a little bit.  Would look great in a French Country setting.

Then this little gold chair—–It’s one I had so much fun with.  It’s small, just like the rocker.  I wondered if people were smaller years ago?   Someone told me that’s called a ladies’ chair.  If you know, let me know.  I am rather new at this.

Anyway, the lady that sold it to me told me it was her grandmother’s and she had wanted to recover it.  She had worked on it for a while, but gave up.  One afternoon, in this hot summer, my husband and I recovered it in this beautiful chocolate brown embroidered satin material.  What fun!  I am putting detachable rosettes on the corners.  It will look great in a ladies dressing room or a young girls’ bedroom.  I can’t wait for you to see it in the store.

I am working on my before and after pictures of the guest room we’re decorating.  Hope you’ve enjoyed looking at these before and after pictures of these other things.  I tend to get a little excited about what I am doing.  I know you all have very interesting lives and I love hearing about what’s going on in your lives.

April (The Added Touch) and I love getting to know you and about your lives.  We want you to have the same fun that we are having in decorating.   But, if there’s one thing we want for you when you come to our store whether you purchase anything or not—We want you to leave inspired.  To God be the Glory.
