Next Event: Autumn Open House—September 3-7. (That’s right–we are opening on Tuesday through Saturday. We’re adding another day for all of you.)
Whew!!!! Where is the time going? We just had our annual garage and warehouse sale. What a sale!!! We thank you all for coming out. The sales were great and I am glad so many of you got some phenomenal bargains. But onward and upward.
I just wanted to keep you up to speed on what we’ve been doing. I know some of you think that between events we have time off. NOT! We are so busy getting things ready for the next event and working with different clients on different projects, that we barely have time to breathe. However, I did manage to get three more pieces of furniture completed. You will be seeing a lot more furniture here at the shop in the future. Some repurposed and some brand new. I can’t wait for you to see what we’ve got coming up. BIG SURPRISES! And really–I am terrible about keeping secrets, so I won’t say anything else about the changes. I think you’re going to love it.
I was in an antique shop not too long ago and saw this chair. I am all about seeing the potential in something. The “Southwest” fabric on the chair just didn’t do this little girl’s body type justice. I knew with a little TLC she was something I was going to love. I started out with a couple of coats of “chalk paint”. Believe me, I love chalk paint, but the colors it comes in–well let’s just say–not the right color for “her”. I ended up with a black paint, but not chalk paint. I wanted black and nothing else would do.
The operation begins and I am loving seeing how she is put together. Well built!! That’s what I look for in a chair that I am going to repurpose.
The work is well worth it.
There she is!! Ready to rest your weary–well you know what I mean. The pillow is a part of the chair ensemble. She just needed some color and what better way than to add an accessory. The chair is just small enough that it will look great in a foyer. The price includes the pillow.
I can’t wait for you to see all the new products for the Fall season. Our Autumn Open House Event is September 3-7. Please work us into your busy schedule. If you will notice, we are extending our days. We have plenty of products so any day you can come, we’ll have plenty. The new furniture will not be in for the Autumn Event in September, but, hopefully, the next event we’ll be able to unveil everything. The repurposed furniture that April and I have completed is already in the shop. I better shut up before I tell you the secret. And if it doesn’t quit raining, the secret will have to be kept even longer.
