Hello Friends!
Getting ready for our next event, April 18-22 and I’m having so much fun learning new skills! I’ve always been an admirer of McKenzie Childs’s artwork. I don’t feel like it ever matches up to the wonderful artists she has working for her. But that doesn’t stop me from trying as you all well know.
This week I’ve been working on projects that McKenzie Childs artists have inspired me to do. It has been so much fun and I’ve learned so much about what I don’t want to do the next time I do more of these MKC-inspired projects.
For instance, it’s so much easier to paint on a smooth surface. Duh! When I purchased my little lamps, I was not thinking about that. However, they are still cute and I can’t wait to finish the lampshades. I know they’ll go to a very special home.
This week I plan on making floral designs as well as painting a few child’s chairs and using them in the shop for display. I also received a shipment of my candle sleeves that you purchase for the different seasons. I think you’re going to love the new styles that we’ve received.
