Hello Friends,
How did this happen? Who would’ve ever thought it?
As you all know, I have always tried to be transparent with my customers. If something doesn’t look right on them while trying on clothing, I try to tactfully say, “maybe not so much.” And on and on I try my best to be tactful. Sometimes I’m good at it, and sometimes not so much.

I wanted to do something special for our Galentine event, I wanted to give back to the customers that came in. So I remembered at Christmas time, I did a craft with my granddaughters and they had so much fun. They caught on to creating a Teddy Bear out of a hand towel in a matter of minutes. They did this while watching a video that should have lasted 10 minutes, but the creator had recorded it at a high speed to where it only lasted 30 seconds.
Being the thickheaded person that I am, in all honesty, I noticed that some of my granddaughters teddy bears looked nicer than mine. But I just dismissed it because I knew I could doctor it up with some cute bows and what have you. In other words I’d “trick it out.”
So I put it on the back burner, forgetting the little problem that I had while making this little teddy bear with the granddaughters.

So the morning our special Galentine event was to open, I decided I’d better refresh my memory about this craft. Still, after the refresher – – I knew there was something not right about what I was doing. My husband, now being fully retired, was out in the shop with us, so I asked him if he could figure out where I was going wrong. Having an engineer’s mind, he had it figured out in less than two views.

So – – being the deep thinker that I am, I decided that he would be a better fit for teaching the class than I was. And truly that was the case. Never mind the fact that he was only 2 weeks out of rotator cuff surgery.
We had a ball watching everybody that did the craft see their “inner creative” come alive. This was a no judgment zone and everybody felt successful in completing the course. I am so proud of all of you!

In the very last group a women said, “It would be great for you to teach this class and have us make rabbits at your March Event.”
So what do you think my husband did shortly after she left? He researched how to make a bunny so he could teach it at our next event. Problem is—we’ll have so much product in I don’t know where we’ll hold the class. I told my husband I wish I could buy a caboose from an old train and fix it up for events like this.
He gave me a big “eye roll.”🙄
Truth is—he had a ball doing this.😜

We are for sure, Lord willing, going to have this event next year!
March 21-25 is our next Spring Event. Hope we can make rabbits together.
Debbie
