Greetings!
I just returned from a wonderful trip to downtown Chicago. What a cultural experience. I had such a great time with my youngest daughter who lives there in area of downtown called River North. It was so educational as to how people live downtown in large cities. Being from a small town like Wichita, it was hard for me to imagine why anyone would ever want to live downtown in a large city. But I loved Chicago!

I so loved the architecture in the Old Town area of Chicago. But what struck me most was how close the houses were together and that they were all different. The look of each home, whether single or double dwelling took on a personality all of its own. I think that’s why I fell in love with the area.
Oddly enough, my daughter is more connected to her neighbors and area than we are living out in the country. She connects so much with all the dog families there. And they know each dog’s name, and know when a dog has some malady better than we know our neighbor’s families here in the country.

I felt so enamored with each dwelling and realized as I could see in many of the homes especially in the late evening, how decorating was so individual with each owner.
While I’m sure there were very few, if any, homes that embraced much of the same décor as we do in Kansas, each home took on the personality of their owner.
But I’m sure as Mothers Day approaches their hearts will wander home to the memories they’ve made with their families and the homes in which they grew up. Even if they don’t want to move back to their small town homes, I’m sure their hearts will forever be towards their mothers and how they cared for them, even if she wasn’t perfect.

Here’s a few of the new items we received for our Mothers Day Event, May 5,6 and 7. Just in time to put spring cuttings in them.(Remember we have limited quantities of these products as well as the perfect mothers we mentioned in the above paragraph.)
My newsletter wouldn’t be complete unless I included a picture of the rest of the group. They’re the ones who keep me on the straight and narrow.

Blessings!
Debbie
