Christmas Event
October 24-28
Well, here we go! The holidays are fast approaching and do you know what I did? I took four days out of my schedule to go on a little mini vacation. I guess after I read that one of the 10 most wished things older people wish they had done was to take more vacations. Why is it I believe the world will fall apart if I don’t work 8, nine, or 10 hours a day?
So we went on a fast trip with two other of my sons, special friends, and it taught me so much about life. My son’s special friends, as well as he, have distinguishing characteristics of people that are considered “not normal.” I am so glad that they are not normal because they are beautiful people. So many times when we go somewhere with all of them, people stare. It’s OK because sometimes I think they’re wondering how these people like my son and his friends can communicate and connect with “normal “people.

All of these precious people have led me to come to know that what is on the outside, sometimes does not represent what’s on our inside. I would rather know the spirit of a person than just the outside glamour of the person and the glamour of their life.
So, I can’t wait to get back to business, this week. And create items that have a story behind them. Just like each of you.
And boy, do the nativities have a story behind them.

I love you all, and know that when you come into the shop, you each have a story to tell. You have a life that you’ve lived, and you’ve made a difference in the world. I hope Memories Of Home, makes a difference in your world.
