Autumn Event
September 7-11
September 7-11
Hello Everyone,
I don’t know if any of you noticed, but last week I did not send out a newsletter. Sad to say, I was very ill, but I am back at it again. Even while I was trying to take care of a health issue that I had, all I could think about was all the things I had wanted to create that week. I know you probably won’t believe it, but I still did get quite a bit of things done. Just had to rest a lot. I’m kind of that way. Just ask anybody – – my mind never goes to sleep.

One of the things that has been asked of me, especially from those who are creative, just how do you get inspired and where do you get your inspiration. So today I thought I would just share a few things with you that you might want to know about how I get inspired.
Actually, it’s not work at all to get inspired. Inspiration, sometimes happens unexpectedly. One of my favorite ways to get inspired without really trying is by looking at nature and thanking God for what he has given me.
Right now, I love looking at the fields and seeing the crops that will be harvested very shortly. Also when a field comes with a barn, I know I have hit the jackpot for inspiration. This is my sister-in-law‘s place and it was the barn of my husband‘s grandma and grandpa. Such a beautiful memory of that family and it gives me energy to create something that reminds me of them. That’s why I have so many country and farming pictures.

The next thing I do is do is to try something that is very different than what I would normally do. A couple of weeks ago I went bicycle riding with some of my favorite people. Someone told me that if I tried to ride a bike at my age, I should put training wheels on my bike. Well—-I fooled them and was able to ride even farther than some of my friends that were with me.

But the truth of the matter is, I enjoy doing something with people who I do not feel like they had to repay me. They were just grateful for being with me. And that’s really worth $1 million worth of inspiration. I am one of the most blessed people in the world because of these precious individuals. They show me the beauty in everyone.

Next week I’m going to share with you one of the biggest things I do to get inspired. I hope it will help you as much as it does me. I can’t wait to share it with you next week.
So many things inspire me, and especially all of you. You’ve asked me to do things I never thought would turn out right, and then it turns out—and I love it. I love being pushed to new heights and I’ve loved this business because of that ever since day one. You all inspire me to go higher.
I have had to be very creative this whole year as far as getting inventory ready. I have some really, really fun stuff coming in that I think you will love.

Mark your calendar‘s for our autumn open house, September 7 through the 11th. And I think it’s time to break out the hot apple cider. Maybe I could even find a pumpkin spice latte mix.
Blessings!
Debbie
