Hello Everyone!

I can’t believe it’s almost Mother’s Day weekend. With the weather not being as warm as we usually experience, it still feels like early spring.

I finally finished my little McKenzie – Child’s inspired lamps. I’m having so much fun with all these fun projects.

When someone asks me what I see as the decorating trends I see coming on, I’d say it has to be fun! I’m tired of sticking to boring rules. As I told someone yesterday, if it’s not fun I don’t want to do it or have it.

While I think decorating is serious business, at this point in my life if I’m not having fun with it, I don’t want any part of it. One thing I’m seeing in the decorating scene is that people are tired of “white” everywhere. They are screaming I want some color!

So if your palate is all white, bring in some color with your accessories. You have a blank canvas to work with.

Thank goodness gray color schemes we’ve used the last 10 years have realized the need for color infusions to be included in those plans.
We’re seeing more saturated colors—rich deep tones. Woohoo! We’re not anemic any longer. Whatever your style is, if you love it, then it’s in. We no more have to be held to someone else’s tastes or opinions. And, we don’t have to be afraid 😱 of color.

Don’t forget we’re having a Make it and Take it workshop like we did for the Valentine’s event. You told me it was so much fun, so I decided we’d do this in the afternoons. There’s no cost unless you add flowers💐. Can’t wait to show you something new for you to make. And then go home inspired to make so many new projects using your newfound talent. We’ll be making these little metal pockets for you to create your own floral.

And don’t forget, we’ve got lots of fun clothing with lots of color. You need a dress. They are so “in” right now.

Blessings,
Debbie
