Happy New Year to all of you!
I hope your holidays were as great as mine were. But, please don’t misunderstand me; I am exhausted. But did I love every minute of it? Truth be told, maybe not every minute of it. But, more importantly, was every minute worth it? Undeniably–YES.

As is the case, I didn’t get my tree decorated until December 15. Right on schedule for me. How long did it take me before it was finished? About 2 days because I kept adding and adding to it. And then as usual, taking away items from the tree. My daughter set up the tree this year during the Thanksgiving holidays and I added the lights that weekend. I kind of liked just the lights for a while until my family asked me if I was ever going to decorate the tree. So December 15 I started decorating it and finished it the morning of the 17th; and that afternoon I had 8 grandchildren come to stay with me for 4 days. Two of them had to leave early due to some health issues, but they were here off and on during those days. And Yes–I was exhausted. And was it worth it–Yes! Do I look forward to it again next year? Give me a few days and you bet I will!🤪
At any of our family gatherings the food is really paramount. It seems we all have to come up with new recipes to outdo what we’ve done in years’ past.

Several new recipes were brought, but something surprised me coming from the teenage granddaughters. Something that I had that they have loved for years. And it wasn’t our desserts. And then, come to find out, my middle daughter loved it also. I realized that when I die, there may be a fight over these when everything is divided up. It was a gift my husband gave me over 25 years ago, and at that time we had plenty of settings and now we’ve outgrown this item.
It is my 12 days of Christmas china. So, guess what I will be looking for at market this year? You got it–The 12 days of Christmas China. I’m sure that if I find it, it will be totally updated and I am excited to see if I can the set. I will keep you all informed if I find some. It will be a wonderful heirloom for your daughters.

And then, think of what the desserts will look like on these dishes! I’m already excited about looking for them. Of course, it doesn’t take much for me to get excited about going to market and what great treasures we will find. Hopefully, this year will be better than 2021 in being able to get the items in.
Well, gotta run. I am going to be cleaning out my closets and get rid of home décor that is no longer a part of my decorating. Yep! I’ve got to do that and get rid of some of my clothing pieces. I’m such a clothes horse.
Happy New Year to all and I can’t wait to show you what I find at market in a few days.
Blessings!
Debbie💕
