As I walked outside this morning, I realized that with the coolness of the temperature, Autumn is definitely on its way.

And even though I hate summertime, it made me sad to look at my front porch and think I’ve got to take all my patriotic decorations down and save them for next year. Even though the temperatures have been brutal, I have enjoyed my walks outside, the nature sounds, and the dinners I’ve had in my home. Summer definitely is a family time.

I always look forward to the changing of the seasons. This year, the seasons will run together in the shop. In past years, I have only shown autumn products in September. However, so many of you, with an eagle eye have seen some of my creations on the steps that I’ve set some of the Christmas products on, and I’ve told you I have to save them for my upcoming show in Arkansas. However, this year will be different as I am showing both autumn and Christmas in the shop at this first event on September 10, 11, and 12.

This way, you all will know that I’ve given you an equal shot at getting a lot of my new creations before Christmas is even here. But rest assured, I keep working to get new items rolled out all the time for upcoming shows. I never stop working—just ask my family.

As always, I’m definitely excited about the new stems that I’ve brought in. I love the coppers and golds. Maybe it’s because we Kansans don’t usually see the brilliant colors that people in the northeastern states take in during the fall months. Nonetheless, Kansas is a beautiful place in the fall.

I love this muted orange tone in the poppies. It could go with so many different color schemes. If you wanted to use the bush alone in a vase, it still looks great, but adding a few touches will give you a very quick and easy autumn arrangement that you can do yourself.

I’m working on some front porch decor for the winter months, and I plan on having them ready to show you in my email next week.

Can you see the baby deer in the second picture? This would be great on a hearth all winter long. I love the mother deer nurturing the baby. It reminds me of my old days as a young mother.

So I need to get back to work so I can get these new products to you for viewing next week in my email. Once again, and as always, I’m excited about the autumn open house here at the shop, but I’m also excited about showing the Christmas/winter season at the same time.

It’s time to start creating!
