Wow! With the temperatures dipping this week, we’ve got a really sweet taste of fall going on. I can’t wait to have to wear a sweater outside every day. And the coffee shops have already started serving their pumpkin spice lattes. Can’t say that I’m a fan, but I do enjoy the thought.

When I was younger, I ran across a poem called “September Sounds.” My husband and I were sitting on the front porch last night, and those locusts that were humming reminded me of the change that’s going to be taking place during the next couple of months—and oh the sights and sounds!

I tend to romanticize these months, because I really don’t take the time out that I should to just enjoy all those September sounds. But even for a brief few moments, it breathes new life into me, and I’m so grateful God has given us the autumn months.
I went antiquing last weekend with my husban,d and boy did we make a haul. I’m so excited to turn these antiques into something you can enjoy the season with, even though they may not be functional in their intended use many years ago. But we will reinvent them and have you be able to reminisce with them as a reminder of years gone by. Just the thought of it makes my life slow down. Even if it is just for a moment.
Speaking of enjoying something year after year— Guess what I brought back again this year? This has been a hot seller every year. What a wonderful little gift for someone as well as adorable decor for your own home.

And lest I forget, I told you that I would bring Ralph’s sister to you this week. Ralph’s sister, Sadie, joins the family. I’m sure you can tell their sisters because both of them have the same turned up nose. I can’t wait to attach her on a very special body. Ralph is going to have a special body also, and when the family is complete with brothers and sister, I’ll be sure you’ll see the entire family resemblance.

And just in case you forgot who Ralph was, here he is.

Don’t forget, the autumn event begins September 9 through the 13th. And in case you’re not familiar with Memories Of Home, many of our items are handmade and of course, just for me to be able to keep up with our store’s demand, I will have other items that are not necessarily handmade. But be sure I pick them with a heart full of love for my customers.
