Hello!

Well, it’s that time of year again, when these 90+ degree days, make us thankful that we know autumn will be coming around the bend before long. It also gives me a chance to pretend like I’m a farm girl and ride a swather with my husband.

For those of you who don’t know what a swather is (Evidently, Siri doesn’t either because it keeps saying swatter when I dictate this) It cuts hay and puts it in a neat little row which is called a wind row. Then the farmer comes and bales it with another monster machine.😊I’m really beginning to sound like a country girl, huh?

It was fun riding in the swather with my husband, but two rounds around the field were sufficient. I asked him if he enjoyed me being in the swather with him as much as he did when I was 18 years old. (Actually what we rode in when I was 18 was a combine to be exact.)
He told me he liked it even more. I guess that’s what 54 years of marriage will do to you even if your wife is a city girl.

So I talked about all this to tell you that we’re getting ready for our annual warehouse sale July 11, 12 and 13. And, there is something that will cost you absolutely nothing. That being to look at the fields as you travel out here. I’m sure the corn in the field next to us will probably be about 12 foot tall with huge ears of corn. Sounds beautiful to a country/city girl, doesn’t it?

Who knows what will be in the sale, but I promise you it will be quite a sale. We’ll also have a sale going on in the shop. Please mark your calendars. Hope you can come.

So come and enjoy the country life for at least a few minutes. Sorry—no rides in the swatter (swather)😊

Blessings!
Debbie
