Spring Event March 26-30

Well, as they say, it’s good to be home. We went out of town this past week to see Magnolia, Chip and Joanna Gaines’s place. We had lots of fun, and since the weather was so cold, we were able to tour it without a lot of customers there. As a after of fact, almost no one early in the morning.

I love the old church and all its historic characteristics. The curved pews that were in it, as well as the detail on each pew made me feel as though I had just stepped back in time. The fishscale siding on the outside was so Victorian and took my mind back to the times my grandma must’ve lived. Oh, the times in the past were so lovely, yet how much I love all of our modern conveniences.

Also, I was happy to see that the main store had many of the same items that you’ll see here at the shop.

I love the window boxes, and wouldn’t you know their tulips are already blooming and gorgeous. I look forward to the magnificent spring that I know is on its way here.

We also took a trip over to Canton Texas and experienced first Monday Trade Days. It had turned off really cold, and so the crowd was almost nil. Nevertheless, we had a great time and picked up some great little antiques to put in the shop. I’m talking Unique in character with I’m sure lots of history behind it. Wouldn’t it be great if our antiques could talk and tell us what went on in the houses they occupied?

So needless to say, I’m excited as I get back to work, so that you will be tempted by what we have to take home with you.
