Another event has come and gone. And, it was great compared to what I thought it might be. Thank you to all of you who still support us during this incredibly difficult time. I always want to be completely honest with you. Some of you have told me how thankful you are that I have remained so positive during these times.

Full disclosure—-I am not positive at times. At times, I cry. At times I yell! At times I don’t want to be around anyone–I just want to hide. And, at times I ask myself is this worth it? And then we have an event and I see all of your smiling faces, hear your incredible gratefulness and having you share your life with me, and I realize, yes, you are all worth it. You are customers who have become my friends and I thank you for that.

I did promise you I would share what I was making with the corbels we featured a few weeks ago. Well, full disclosure, I was not making it. My husband was. I put the finishing touches on it, but he builds the project.

He has become so good at knowing just what I want, or maybe I have become better about accepting his ideas and going with them. I design the project, he makes my dreams come true.

Let’s look into what we did! Or, shall I say, we did together.

It’s really weird what inspires me sometimes. Sometimes I’m inspired by things I don’t like. For instance (sorry but I know some of you love this place, but I don’t) Chipotle, The food is OK, but the atmosphere is awful. My sister says whenever she thinks of Chipotle she thinks of cold chairs and long lines. Kinda my thoughts, too.

However, one of the ideas of their tables has always been intriguing. You know–the tables that you sit at looking out the windows with no one sitting across from you. I’ve always thought of how nice it would be to have a work table close to a window so that I could look out of as I’m working. I get so much inspiration as I look outside or go for a walk in the great outdoors. So I asked my husband to make this project which could be used as a table or a shelf or whatever my creative customers can dream of. So here goes. This is what we came up with.

Sounds pretty simple, huh? But it’s only by my husband’s great engineeringĀ skills that it’s made better than anything you’ll find on the market now. Yep, after 50 years, I’m convinced –He’s a keeper.

The top of this table is made of maple wood. It was part of a table that was made in the 70’s and was made well. I instructed my husband how I wanted the corbels to fit the table. He then made a hanging brace for this table that could probably support his truck. And, by the way, the bar stools look amazing with it. It would be great for a small space for your kid’s apartment.

Hope you found some inspiration from this newsletter.

And don’t forget–We’re having our 2nd Autumn Event September 24 – 26. We have some new products in and we are starting our transition to the holidays here in the shop.
