Autumn Event, September 6-10
Hello Everyone,
I know, I know, I say this every year. But please indulge me and let me say it again. We have some of the greatest products this year and I’m so excited for you to see them and experience all the different ways we can help you stage your home for Autumn. I think Autumn is the perfect time to think about all the people you’ll have in your home in the coming months. Also, I know you’ll look forward to having them have a latte or coffee in your home and I know that most of you get almost giddy when you think about adding décor to your already existing décor. Like me, you just feel like it sets the mood for the occasion as well as tells a story about your life. While your life consists of a wonderful collection of memories, these décor pieces help you tell your story and let others have the experience of a visual part of your life.

By now, you can tell by what I’ve been saying, Autumn is my favorite time of the year. It’s the beginning of being in your home a lot more and dreaming of the seasons quickly approaching. While it’s true, you don’t have to have decorations to have a good time, I can tell you it so adds to the mix of your occasion. The other day I was in a women’s home and I loved it! She had all of these pieces that told some of the story of her life. She had a little wagon in her kitchen area that I fell in love with. I confessed to her that I really do think I’m going through my second childhood with some of the purchases I make. I told her how much I loved her dining and kitchen furniture and she told me all about her trip to Kansas City where she purchased it, basically on a whim. It was exciting to relive that trip with her. And while I’m really getting to know her, it made me see why I really want to get to know her even more.
The funny part of the whole occasion, was that she had told me that she and her friend both had commented how outdated their homes were. Strangely, I never thought that at all. I just enjoyed going with her down memory lane and looking forward to building memories with her and all the women that were there. Life is good at a friend’s house. And they say, An hour or two with a friend is better than a “therapy session.” And usually a lot cheaper. (Unless you go to Kansas City and purchase a dining room set.)
So as I keep creating, I keep making items that you can purchase or that you can create on your own. These lanterns this year are great for year round and they are open once again so you can create a stunning display for each season.

My deer lantern is also new this year, but I think it will be a hit. It’s so different and brings that outdoor feel into your home all season long. Maybe all year long. I have a candle that you recharge about every week if you use it daily. It also is weather-proof and is magnetized so that if you place it in a metal lantern outside, and that Kansas wind can’t move the candle.
I’m always game for new looks in pumpkins as I’m sure you’ve been able to detect in my store. These are no exception and they have a high-end look with a reasonable price tag.

I know some of you will disagree with me, but I love geese. I know they make a horrible mess on a sidewalk, but please excuse them as their beauty far outweighs the mess they make. This one is an Autumn goose and I can’t wait to make it up to look like Christmas. The container he’s in is great to hold whatever season’s bounties you might bring in the house no matter the season.

I’m looking forward to next week where we can see each other and all the new arrivals! Our Autumn open house – September 6-10!
Blessings!
Debbie
