Ladies, just wanted to let you know that this is the week of the Hillsboro event in Hillsboro, Kansas. This Saturday! Hope you can come!
It’s also time to share some news about my son. Many of you tell me you enjoy my stories about Joel. So just wanted to keep you all up to speed on what he’s doing besides helping me in the business. He helps me with needed muscle from time to time as well as pricing small orders for me.

But, this year something new and exciting is happening to him. He’s going to college. Friends University has started a special program for students like him. He and his four friends from high school are attending the program. ( I didn’t get permission from their parents to use their pictures or I would show you them.) And yes, they are all hugging one another as well in those pictures.
An incident comes to mind when I think about my son when he was a baby. I remember sitting in a hospital room and he was very sick. No one knew what was wrong with him. A very arrogant doctor entered the room and started to examine him. After listening to him with his stethoscope, he turned to me and said, “I can’t fix your son. He will always be like this. He’ll never ride a bicycle, learn to read, go to school or do the other things that a normal child will do. I can’t fix him!”

Well, the rest is history. He’s learned to do every one of those things and much more. And if that doctor was still alive, I would love to show him what Joel is doing now.
What is it about these people that we think they are challenged? No, they won’t get a degree as most of your other children do, and no they will not have any executive position as many of our other children do. But, oh the relationships they develop!
And when you come to the age in this life that I am – isn’t it relationships that are the most important?

Perhaps that is why I stay in this business. Am I making tons of money? Not at all. But it is the relationships I have developed with so many of you, that keep me going. I am so grateful to all of you, for coming to our events. I truly hope that both April and I can bring a dimension into your life that will bless you now and in the future.
Just like my son. It’s not the “degree” that he’s going for. It’s the relationships that he’s developing that are the important.
Sounds like the desire of my Heavenly Father with me. He’s designed life to be about relationships!
God Bless!
Debbie
