Patriotic Event
June 10-12

Hello Everyone!

I suppose you would call this the opening week of summer even though we are several weeks away from the official first day of summer. But we want to make this last as long as we can. And, I don’t know about you, but it’s the perfect time to celebrate our country and all the heroes, too numerous to mention, that serve our country. They among many others are what makes our America great!

June 10 through the 12th is our next event here at the shop and it is our patriotic event and we are excited, as always, to bring you patriotic items of which you won’t find just everywhere else. Summer is such a great time to celebrate family and friends , and hopefully this year will be so much different than last year. And that’s enough to celebrate by itself!

I also wanted to share with you a small project that I did. After I had my main story painted the chandelier looked awful. I was taken back of how awful It made the chandelier look and knew the paint color just didn’t do the chandelier justice.

So I knew I needed to brighten it. So, here’s the before and after.

Before

After

The painting on the chandelier was done with a dry rag. The texture was already on the chandelier so it made it quite easy to dry rag it.

I still don’t have artwork on the wall yet, but I am looking forward, very forward, to getting something up. I’m thinking of a big sunflower picture in this area with a black frame. So far, I haven’t found one with the black frame. So, I just may paint one myself and see how that turns out. I usually hate to put items that I paint where I can see them, because I am constantly criticizing my work. Can you imagine or identify with that?

Many of you have asked if my new furniture is in yet. Unfortunately, I really don’t think it will be here much before July 1. That’s a little farther out than they told me it would be, but this way it keeps me from getting discouraged about it not being here yet.

My chandelier for the front room is in at one of my vendors, but the rest of my order is not. It’s the way things have been going these days and I am learning much about being patient and waiting. I don’t like that, but it is what it is.

Just wanted to give you a short little update on what’s been going on when I’m not getting ready, (which is almost never) for my next event.

So mark your calendar‘s for June 10 through the 12 for our patriotic event.

Blessings!

Debbie
