Even though the calendar says it is still May, the arrival of warmer weather has my mind set on summer, family picnics, and celebration.

This brings me to our upcoming Summer Sale. As many of you know, I am adjusting how I operate due to some health challenges. While change can be difficult, it also brings new and exciting opportunities. Our sale will take place from July 9 through July 11. Please note that this year, the sale will be held in my shop rather than the warehouse. We are offering discounts of up to 75% on a large majority of our products.

On a personal note, this year has been a season of growth and learning. After suffering a stroke, I was faced with the reality of having to learn how to walk again. My time in rehabilitation opened my eyes to the incredible way our brains can recover and retrain. It was a humbling and amazing experience to see such progress in just five days, moving from total immobility to walking with support. God’s mastermind as He created our brains is amazing!
I am now focused on turning life’s challenges into something positive by shifting my perspective. For example, after many failed attempts at finding the perfect gluten-free chocolate cake, I finally found a delicious recipe. Rather than being discouraged by the failures, I am grateful for what I learned through the process. I’m applying this outlook to everything—even seeing a spill on the floor as a welcome excuse to give the floors a much-needed cleaning!

By the way, I know the frosting on the cake is a bit too thick, but it is amazing. Definitely you would not want a steady diet of this.
I’m not claiming to be successful all the time in what I’ve learned. God knows I can’t be perfect, but he sees me progressing.

I am so grateful to keep learning and growing And knowing that God is not finished with me yet. I look forward to seeing you all at the shop for our Summer Sale starting July 9.

I didn’t realize you had had a stroke. What a blessing that you have recovered so quickly, even though it probably didn’t seem quick to you! God is good!

Susan, thank you so much for your kind wishes. I am so grateful for what the Lord has done! Hope you are doing well and that you’re unable to enjoy this wonderful summer.
I’m so sorry to hear you had a stroke, Debbie. My husband had one 3 yrs. ago. He walks with a strong limp now, but does a wonderful job of staying active. His positive attitude has been a great example. I’ve had challenges with arthritis. God knows what we deal with and is there to help us through it, isn’t He? It is such a shock when our health suddenly changes. I know your faith will be your stronghold!
Cam, you’re so right about struggles that we have with our health as we begin to mature. I’m glad your husband is doing so well. I’m so glad that God gave us his Word to encourage us to just keep on going. While we may not know what lies ahead, we know who is there to greet us in every trial.
