Well, I suppose you’ve heard it said a bazillion times, I can’t believe it’s almost Thanksgiving. Well, to be truthful, I can’t even remember what month we’re in half of the time. So, I can’t really believe what holiday we’re getting to celebrate. All I know is that, yes, I have a lot to be thankful for and I am glad I know the One to whom I am to thank. God is good, no matter what I am feeling at any given moment. My faith in Him is not tainted by the news of the day. (Well, in all honesty, sometimes it is tainted until I get my head back on straight.) Yes, the times are hard, but my God is good even when my faith is waning.

So with all of that being said, I am going to ask a favor of you all. Would you please remember to shop small businesses. If you don’t want or can’t come to my shop, that’s OK. But, there are many shop owners right now that are wondering if they are going to be able to make payroll and pay the rent. Did you ever think that maybe your purchase could help a small business pay the rent that month? So please shop small businesses this coming Thanksgiving week and maybe help save their business.

If most of you knew how much we small business owners make, you would surely ask this question. Why do you continue to do this?

It’s because of our love of what we do. It’s because of our love for our customers. Its because it brings meaning to our lives. It’s because it gives us a little spending money or provides more revenue for us to expand our business. It’s because, some of us (not me), depend on the income to feed our children or be able to buy them a new pair of tennis shoes. And on and on.

Enough said and I already thank you in advance for all you have done to keep me in business. I plan on shopping small businesses in the coming weeks. And I know, as great as you all have been to me, that you will consider that, too.

So, if you’re having family in, bring them with you to the shops. Practice safety, and even though we may not be able to see your mouth, smile with your beautiful eyes. I love you all! As previously stated, “You’re the best!”

Love,
Debbie
