It’s been a year of change for everyone. Like it or not, we’re having to adapt to a world of changes on a daily basis. If I were a person who finds it hard to pivot, I would be a wreck right now. So I choose to change on a dime even though I do not want to. So first let me give you the bad news. But, rest assured, there will be good news coming your way.

Bad news–Many of our traveling shows are being cancelled. And, I get it. With so many people in the aisles at shows and no way to control that, the promoters feel an obligation to keep their vendors as well as the shoppers safe. So here is a list of shows that we know that have been cancelled until next year.

Our show in Springdale, Arkansas at the Holiday Inn Convention Center is cancelled. However they will be hosting some of the vendors at the Fairgrounds in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We decided not to move to that show as most of it is outdoors and we are not doing outdoor events anymore. It’s too hard of a set up for us. Our products don’t do well outdoors. The weather is such a huge factor, also. Incidentally–War Eagle has cancelled their show, too.

However, we will open our shop on that week for a special event here in Rose Hill, Kansas. If any of you make this a trip to our shop instead of going to Arkansas (As I know many of you travel to the show in Arkansas to see us) we will compile a list and addresses of other shops in this area that would give you 2 full days of a wonderful shopping experience. It would be fun, fun, fun to bring your girlfriends and make a 2 day trip out of it. Man, just thinking about it makes me want to grab a girlfriend and go out shopping right now.

The second relatively big one that cancelled on us for the same reasons is Church of the Magdalen. We understand, but want to provide a replacement show for any of you that would like to come. So we are opening the shop that weekend–November 5, 6 and 7. We will have the same great items that we carry with us to shows. And, as many of you know, those items are somewhat different as we might have in the shop normally. We usually sell out if these items at shows in the weeks prior, but we won’t this year!

The next one that has cancelled on us is Winterfest in Derby–Same reasons and we understand. But, we just can’t let those dates come and go without providing another place to shop. So we’ll be open that weekend, December 4 and 5, with some special surprises.

These are just the dates of our shows that have cancelled on us and we wanted to provide you an update. No worries, though. We are still planning on our regular events here in the shop in the barn. Lord Willing!

I don’t know about you, but for me to shop online just doesn’t trip my trigger. I want to have it in front of me so that I can see, feel it and not have to worry about what it’s going to look like when it gets here. We plan on being here for all of our regular events here in the barn, and adding those new ones right here in our cozy little shop. How’s that for pivoting?

Another change–we won’t be sending out postcards. The cost is so high and, many times, the postcards go to homes that have moved or are deceased. And, at around $1 a postcard and over 2k of them, it just doesn’t make it cost effective. So please encourage your friends that don’t receive our emails to sign up or to follow us on Facebook. And just a note about Facebook, I have no control over who they feed my advertising to. Sometimes you might never see the FB posts. That’s why emails are so much better to receive.

And just another cheery note: We’ll be at The Market at Stone Hill Barn next weekend–August 28 and 29. We’ll have great products there also. The Market at Stone Hill Barn is making your shopping experience as safe as possible. Masks are requested and temperature checks will be taken upon entry. That’s really adapting to this new lifestyle! But, it gives us somewhere exciting to go to and a reason to shave our legs and put makeup on.

I’m so happy to have you all to write to. Also, as always, it will be great to see you at our first Autumn Event here in the shop, September 8-12 and our mini-Event September 24, 25 and 26. You’re all the greatest!

Blessings!

Debbie
