Hey, Girls. I wanted to share with you some of the projects I’ve been working on as well as show you the new settee that has arrived in the shop.

I actually had ordered this settee quite a while ago, but it just came in. I was so excited for its arrival! This little gem would be a great addition to a kitchen area or dining area. Also, what a beauty for an entryway for guests. It’s so comfortable and welcoming. There’s just something about the Country French style that says, “I am so glad to have you in my home.”
And then there is this beauty-in-the-making “find.” When I saw this chair in a local Antique store, I knew it had to go home with me. I guess you might say I have a new love for bringing an old piece of furniture and giving it new life.

I guess you could say, give it a “facelift.” This piece had some imperfections that had to be addressed, and as always my incredible husband came through and made it better than new.
The padding was great so I had nothing to do in that area. However, I did feel it needed an updated color.

The fabric I used, I felt like wouldn’t date it quite as quickly as some of the options I had considered. I felt this fabric option would have many years of being “on trend.” When I finished it, I loved it. Upholstering the chair taught me a lot of different lessons as I was working on it. Right now I am working on an accent pillow to rest on it.

The date of our next event fast approaches. I am busy getting those florals ready and dressing the shop for your visit.
